He kept his wits and did a great job while wounded. Thank God (I'm sure he has- that the scumbag wasn't better trained!

Scum bag was well armed, and well versed in the use of firearms. Additionally, he put on a kevlar vest prior to initiating the fight. Deputy Moore put one into his legs, which took him out of the game.

He definitely was a great shot, which no doubt saved his life.

Now lets talk about how dumb it was going into that situation,
    1) By yourself
    2) Armed with only your pistol
    3) Blatently walking upon the residence while in full uniform, (instead of lets say, the electric meter reader dude)

    Glad he survived.

Did you read ANY of the facts in the incident?

I hate to say it, but I will. On here, I often hear that .... oh it's never over 20 ft ..... but that's never been my experience. My experience is often further distances, and this one shows that quite readily. Good that he was a good shot with his EDC @ 50 yrds, and stayed in the fight.

    He's an example for everyone ! ! !

Yep, I too am glad for hi-cap mags and long-range training.
