Ummm not to get political on a forum clearly not allowing political crap I will say a short statement paraphrasing how I feel:

Our govt. failed our country, this soldier was a islamist terrorizing murderer, and once again our govt. is pathetic. Did I say it politically correct enough? Now back to talking about toys made from metal.

My butt. Nidal Hasan is a cold blooded terrorist. They are trying to get him off the radar and the death sentence by doing this. If I were still in the Army I would gladly volunteer to be on the firing squad and would even supply ammo for the whole squad.

Actually I will quote and correct my-self. He was not a terrorist. He is a cold blooded American Serial killer because he killed more than one person. He is a criminal with constitutional rights, not a terrorist. We need to get that right. He is a criminal no different than any other murdering psychonut scumbag citizen. He needs to be treated as a citizen, given his right to due process, tried and convicted if found guilty in a court of law, and punished the absolute maximum allowed by state and military law. He needs to be tried by Military Court Marshall for both murder, assualt with intent to kill or harm a human being, and treason because of his claim to do this for religious zealotry reasons against our constitution. He needs to be made example of but needs to do it within the limitations and protections offered by our constitution. Any one who differs in opinion probably does not understand nor support our constitution.

I stand corrected from my original statement.

Yeah you know what I meant. But you know they are going to let the trial date lag on forever in order to appease muslims worldwide. Had this been the 1990's or 80's he would have been shot by firing squad already.

Don't lose sight of the fact this massacre happened because senior US Army officers failed to their job. Had those doctors and administrators done their jobs the scumbag would have been bounced out of the US Army.

I think I understand your intent with that statement, and that you are not blaming our own military for what this terrorist did?

Political correctness will be our downfall. Weaker nations hate us because we are strong, so we make ourselves weak and stupid in hopes of appeasing them. We give them money, in hopes they will 'like' us, when we can't afford to pay our own bills. We give them equal status at united nations gatherings. We fight their wars for them, and when we've cleared the battlefield with our own blood, they turn on us. We respect their religion that demands that they subjugate or kill us. And we forget our noble heroes who are murdered by them, all in hopes of appeasement.

I don't have the words to express my shame, anger and frustration.

Calling it "workplace violence" keeps the victims from being classified as combat deaths in the global war against terror (oh wait, they don't use that term anymore). No purple hearts either.

I'll clean the rifles after they're done

I think it was an act of terrorism because of the motivation.

When Hasan is found guilty and sentenced to death it will be decades before he is executed; if he is ever executed. There are several former military guys sitting on death row at Leavenworth. The military has not executed anyone since 1961.
