Suicide by Cop

I know it happens, probably more often than we know... But this one here, is blatant.

I don't understand the mentality... But I do wish there were some way to get these people what they need, rather than what they want.

I to am glad the officers were not hurt, but now they have to live with killing someone.

There's a lot of craziness out there. I pray those involved can find peace.

can anyone do a stick cartoon where "Lovers" is changed to "Loonies" Leap

and provide the coordinates on google earth so those inclined can take their final bow without
dragging down the psychic of others in the process.

what some people need is a day - before pill

It's hard to get them help when they are shooting at you.

If you shoot at the police, expect return fire.
Not much can be done to prevent that scenario...tough one.

I too pray for all involved and their families

as someone that has confronted persons with mental issues/suicidal, I'm thankful my hand hasn't been forced that direction, I've confronted persons wielding knives or other weapons and have had to use the taser or ended up talking them down

I tased a guy a few months ago that pulled a knife on us after we arrived on scene and had about a 5 minute "standoff", I got rifle cover from another backup officer and used my partner's flashlight and talking as distraction to get closer step by step each time he turned away from me
I just knew we were going to shoot the guy when we got there and he pulled the knife out, it was a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach and I'm so thankful it ended better than I thought it would
