I wasn't there,but if I was an LEO and got a stalking call,first thing I'm doing is getting suspect out and pat them down,possibly cuff them until I finish my investigation.That is basic Police Work and Officer Survival skills.

Not having any real facts about this LEO shooting.... I wish two things: 1) that she (the Officer) is OK mentally as this is rough and could be one of the only times she actually fired her weapon in the line of duty, and 2) that it was 'in the line of duty' and an appropriate response.
