Just curious....

Do we have any members of our National Guard here?

Have any of you been getting training in search and seizure?

You know all those concrete retainer barriers they put on interstates for construction? Have any of you used those in any sort of training?

Retired in 1995 as an 11C in mortars.

Six years as an 11B, C Co. 2/135 IN, 34th ID (MN National Guard).

And yes, we've done a lot of both cordon and search and TCP (Traffic Control Point, Traffic Checkpoint, Tactical Checkpoint, whatever...) operations.

We didn't use concrete highway barriers for TCPs in training because they're too heavy to lug around, but for semipermanent or permanent checkpoints we use them. Otherwise plastic water-filled obstacles or concertina wire.
