    PCS to Scott AFB, IL?

    I need some advice from someone who has PCS'd to IL before. From what I can tell, I need an IL address and either an IL DL or ID card in order to obtain a FOID card. Since I have absolutely no intention of giving up my current state of residence (as permitted in the Soldiers' and Sailors' Civil Relief Act), I'm guessing I have to go with the IL ID card. I have read the ISP FAQ site and searched the web, but I can't seem to find anything military-specific.

    I appreciate your germane replies to this very narrowly focused question.

    Can't help with your question. Are you planning on living in base housing? If not I'd opt for living in MO and commuting to base. It's about 35 mile from St Louis to the base, IIRC.
