A few weeks ago they decided to have a party in the Hampton Roads Metro area, doing detailed inspections of trucks and such, and who knows what else. Traffic here is Hell on a good day with various bridges, tunnels, tourists, naval presence, etc. They made it about ten times worse.

As we have documented, airport security style checkpoints and inspection procedures are already in place at bus terminals, train stations, and are rapidly being expanded to the streets of America.

So they don't have the resources to check plane and maritime cargo from foreign countries but they find enough idiots to harass commuters in major metropolitan areas.Brilliant.I watched four TSA officers walk past a unattended bag setting in the waiting area of the concourse at the local airport a few years ago while waiting to rent a car.Letting this bunch out into public will prove to be a mistake.

I agree, however, true clowns might resent the association. Clowns don't carry weapons and insist on compliance under threat of violence.

I'm the guy next door that is polite, but does not tell you crap.
It annoys me that some of the more senior members of this blog community immediately cry (oh, you and your far out fears) when a proven topic is posed, and they won't even do a simple web search before posting that we are all paranoid. Almost like some of the above posters work for the Brady Bunch behind the curtain, but post here.

Yep, keep your collective heads in the sand! Way to go and be informed. Go vote for socialism and unicorns.

LOL well if everyone including the OP, no offense as it is a good topic, would do a quick search they would find that they are not conducting traffic stops and searching cars. They are being used in the same manner as they are being used in airports. TSA is on the way out. Airports are being given the option of hiring private companies to do the searching and removing TSA from the equation.

TSA agents are not armed, thank god, and have no LE powers so outside of a transportation hub, bus station, weigh station and so on they cannot do much.
