Funny it all all seems to come full circle sometimes.

I just don't understand WHY ON EARTH they would pick an outmoded 100 year old handgun design???
The 1911??? ~ It's a doggone albatross! It's too heavy. It has a single stack magazine.
They are finicky and there are so many better much more MODERN handgun designs out there!
You need to spend an extra thousand dollars on one to even get it to work...according to one "highly respected" gun guy on TV who has never seen even one 1911 finish his training course.
I just don't understand it?
And then there is that damn Thumb Safety that you always need to remember to click off.
The United States Marine Corps obviously knows nothing about what sort of firearm a True Warfighter needs or wants as a personal defensive/offensive battle ready and proved sidearm.

I, as a non-1911 guy, like the Cerakote finish and the grip panels.![]()

"But if they don't exist, how can a man see them?"
"You may think I'm pompous, but actually I'm pedantic... let me explain the difference."
"Carry the battle to them. Don't let them bring it to you. Put them on the defensive and don't ever apologize for anything."
Good. Back to basics and made here at home.
I didn't check the math in the article but if 1875 per is correct...that's a govt. contract for sure. Handsome grips on that weapon but a bit pricey. Those buggers better be sewing machines and smell like a prom queen. But i've been to Hartford and they do need the money up there.

The Marine Corps probably doesn't have any real experience, like the keyboard commandos do.
Well...there I go looking for a rag to wipe my screen off with...again.

Seriously. I think they made a great choice. Magnificent looking firearmand that is great news for COLT also.
And....they are opting for the Short Trigger!Doggoneit that warms my heart.
I'd be good to go on that 1911 just as soon as I popped the Ambi Safety off.![]()

OK, this is the MARSOC pistol shown at last years S.H.O.T. Show, they show it with the long trigger.
