shooting happened around 6:30 this evening in Big Lake in west Texas, near where I grew up
DPS is saying they were looking for a suspect when the Deputy was shot

Deputy Josh Mitchell has been confirmed killed, suspect in standoff, Midland PD SWAT on scene along with DPS, Marshals, numerous surrounding Sheriff's depts, Game Wardens, and others
