A woman (we can call her an idiot) is handcuffed and mouths and spits at a LEO in a police station. He then tases her. Look, I understand he was upset I think we have to agree that is not the appropriate time to taze someone.
I think what is more disturbing is that none of the LEO's in the building seem to think it was wrong.

Assualt with bodily fluids is a crime in most locations (this usually inculdes spitting). In the video it does seem to be an over the top use of force, but they could have taken her down and hog tied her until she calmed down. But that might seem over the top also

Despite the spit, this could be his butt, especially if the woman belongs to a protected minority group or even has a good lawyer. It's the same as when somebody steals our car and we'd love to put one in the back of their skull as they drive off but that would be murder. It was obviously revenge and not self-defense. At the very least expect a lawsuit.
I think more people need to be taken out back of the wood-shed if you know what I mean....
Was the officers actions overboard? Probably, but can't say that I wouldn't be darn tempted to do the same thing....
Then again if I had a taser I'd be tasering 5 people a day....

Well, if he was the arresting officer and had been dealing with her at the scene, in the patrol car, and then at the station his patience might have worn out.

The LEO should lose his job. If he is willing to do harm over someone spitting on him who is restrained already, what will he do when someone does something worse than spitting on him?
He didn't seem upset. In fact, it looked to me like he was subduing an unruly drunk in a humane, non-injuring way.

I do not think I want the cops to be punishing people. That is what this cop did, he pusnished her by electrifying her. Cops should not punish.

A 45 minute face full of hell seems more appropriate that a 5 second ride on the lightning.
In absence of OC though a taser seems appropriate.
