    I much would have preferred to see a picture of the officer with the article rather than the bad guy. I could see it if the guy was at large but this scumbag killed himself.

    Prayers to his wife and children. May he rest in peace.

    Lish, I agree, why a pic of the BG instead of the officer?

    RIP Officer Fox

    Just terrible. No justice at all for the officers family. So sad to know the little girl will never see her daddy again. May he rest in peace.

    OP's link went to a dead end.

    Anyways,,,,
    We had a very similar situation here in West Bloomfield mi.
    Slain West Bloomfield officer hailed for devotion to family, faith, work | City of Detroit | Detroit Free Press | freep.com

    From article;

    Patrick O'Rourke, the 39-year-old West Bloomfield police officer struck down by a bullet Sunday night, was laid to rest Friday in Fenton.

    As a late summer breeze blew and sunshine replaced memories of a rainy morning, hundreds of police officers, firefighters and others from across Michigan and parts of Canada stood in St. John Cemetery to pay their final respects.

    The 12-year veteran and father of four was shot when he and other officers went to assist someone they believed to be suicidal Sunday night.

    I said it before there is absolutely no respect for LEO's anymore,killing a Police Officer should be mandatory death sentence and that when there is absolutely no doubt as to the perps guilt should be carried out within a year,then see how many thugs want to pull the trigger when they know they won't be kicking back getting 3 hots and a cot for decades

    We should never forget the dangers officers face everyday while protecting us. When you meet an officer thank him or her for being there. God bless them all.

    Duk, I don't disagree with the lack of respect for LEO's today. It is truly sad that the MSM have jumped upon the "bad" ones and have lumped others into the same mold. I know many and they are upstanding in their field and I admire them all. I do take a little umbrage with the killing of a PO as having a mandatory death sentence. I feel this should apply to everyone. All life is valuable and due to the namby pamby attitude, we have the society we have today.

    God bless all those who watch out for me.....
