EDIT: Scroll down to the comments and you'll see that I'm more concerned about the whole "civil unrest training" thing. Yahoo! is known for the below average IQ of its posters, but I can't help but wonder if they're onto something. Or maybe I'm just paranoid. Don't know.

This was a quote from a youtube gunstore video. If I can remember who I will site it. "If you are prepared for the Zombie apocalypse, you are prepared for anything". Now I do not believe our government has all of its stuff together, regardless of who is "running" the show, but the CDC did release a cautionary statement about preparing for the zombies. All is tongue in cheek but I believe that the quote still applies. Similarly to "Hope for the best, prepare for the worst." I jokingly tell my wife we are preparing for the zombies, but any other noun will work as well.

It's a great way to make training more motivating.

True that. Nice avatar, by the way.

Training for Zombies is a good way to train for different threats without naming those threats directly. Avoiding the question of why you believe that a particular group might be a threat now or in the future.

I find all this talk about zombies to be a bit passé.
It was funny for about 10 seconds and now it's just lame.

Politically correct training that won't upset the masses no matter what name they give the target.
"A first rate man with a third rate gun is far better than the other way around". The gun is a tool, you are the craftsman that makes it work. There are those who say "if I had to do it, I could" yet they never go out and train to do it. (WETSU)

Yep. Not much difference between them except with zombies you have to do head shots.

I suppose it is only phase 1 in the plan to defend against mythical enemies, foreign and domestic. Phase two will involve Orcs and Dragons. Phase three will be about Warlocks, Witches and Scientologists.
I don't always have nothing to say, but when I do, I post it on Facebook.

It's a cover for the days the riots start and the US populace has to be put down
