RIP Jeff Cooper
you gotta love when I showboat gets taken down a peg
I don't carry a gun to look for or start a fight. I carry one to finish a fight I never wanted to be in.
You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, "I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along." . . . You must do the thing you think you cannot do. Eleanor Roosevelt

"Outside of the killings, Washington has one of the lowest crime rates in the country,"
--Mayor Marion Barry, Washington , DC .
Timing is everything
I watched it several times just to laugh. A moving object hits a moving object.

"But if they don't exist, how can a man see them?"
"You may think I'm pompous, but actually I'm pedantic... let me explain the difference."
"Carry the battle to them. Don't let them bring it to you. Put them on the defensive and don't ever apologize for anything."
Man, how often is this scene from the 2008 movie "Never Back Down" going to show up? I do like that it's now morphed into a Bolivian kickboxer (when, of course, that actor is performing Capoeira, a Brazilian martial art) and a Marine (when that actor is portraying a high school kid who has gotten mixed up in an "underground" fight club scenario). The internet has been around for a good while now, folks. It's maybe time to stop believing everything you see on it.
Never Back Down (2008) - IMDb
A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands - love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper - his hands remember the rifle.
Here is the scene from the movie - this particular fight starts at 1:00.

As an aside.... MAN, do I wish I had the PR magic that the USMC does. They don't even have to DO anything and people will give them the credit! "Hey, here's a guy punching another guy." "The puncher must be a Marine!"

- Unfortunately, it's fake. As OPFOR mentioned, it's from "Never Back Down".
Re: Capoeira Fighter - YouTube
"Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the outcome of the vote." ~ Benjamin Franklin
It's not a "fake," it's just a scene from a movie. From almost 5 years ago. That has shown up in every forum, social networking site, and inbox in the world in one guise or another.
As another aside, "hits" are not the only things that count. Hence the entire concept of "covering" or "suppressive" fire. ;)
