I started off in the Army as an MI guy. Our AIT was at Ft. Devens. It was more of a college atmosphere than AIT. No passes, girls in the same barracks. Different floors but there were was no restriction from going anywhere you wanted. TRADOC was not formally in charge of MI training, or it was minimal. No DI's, we had platoon sergeants who were there to help with our homework which was about 2 hours a night or more. My mos was about 1 yr. OK..enoough of the background.
About 7 months into training I walked out of the shower into the hallway and a TRADOC officer and 1SG were there in the hallway. The 1SG went ape doo doo because I didn't yeall attention (officer on the floor). I told him I had no idea that i was suppose to do that. I would post the rest of what he said but that would be against forum rules.
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”
And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
