Recommended reading/viewing for legislators: what would you suggest?

Related to the question of crime control, domestic security for each of us, and all potential legislation related to that ... If you could have your wish and require a short-list of reading/viewing/study for all elected/appointed legislators, what would that list be?

Be specific: Which books, videos, key SCOTUS opinions/rulings, debates, lectures, whatever.

    Thoughts: Justifiable self defense (A.O.J.).
Explain: How does disarming victims reduce the number of victims?
Reason over Force: The Gun is Civilization (Marko Kloos).

From my background you might try reading these two books. A bit pricey, but you can find used copies. They are informative:

Tactical Edge: Surviving High-Risk Patrol: Charles Remsberg: 9780935878059: Amazon.com: Books

Amazon.com: Street Survival Tactics for Armed Encounters: Ronals Adams, Thomas M. McTernan Charles Remsberg: Books

The second book, Street Survival, is probably more helpful.
