    The National Police (DHS)

Some of you may have heard or seen this on the news, but I was shocked to see it happening in my town. Currently, the DHS is going around the country in tandem with local law enforcement agencies and setting up road blocks. They are involuntarily redirecting people into parking lots or empty lanes. Once you are stopped, they will ask you to voluntarily give them your DNA via cheek swab or blood sample. They will pay you $10 for a swab and $50 for blood. They are in white SUV's with "Department of Homeland Security" written along the side and "National Police" written across the back. I'm not sure what is being done with the DNA. I suppose they could be testing for controlled substances, although I don't think that entails needing DNA. Sounds more like a database collection.

Anyways, I don't know what kind of jurisdiction DHS has on the local level, nor do I know how they are treating the presence of firearms in targeted vehicles. I just wanted to give a heads up that you may be stopped by the "National Police" in the near future. Perhaps they are replacing the FBI, since the FBI is a national security entity, and no longer a law enforcement division.

I'd sooner give those people the finger.
Firing a suppressed is on my Bucket List.

I'm just a spoke in the wheel but not a big deal.

America...a Constitutional Republic. NOT a democracy as the liberals would have us believe.

Personally,it makes no difference to me who they are..My answer would be no and then the conversation is over, plain and simple..I don't fuss or argue,or debate with them. They can ask me why all they want,it's a waste of their time..That said,i haven't heard of this happening in my area, not yet anyway.

I don't get it. If they're trying to build up a DNA database, they'll only get the DNA of law-abiding citizens, which will never match up for them?

I suppose spitting on them would be in poor form.

Remember he who would be king

Promised us a civilian force as well armed and equipped as our present military -(at that time of course now our Military is being downsized )

You assume that they want it to catch criminals. And in that case, you are correct. It would make little sense.

Assuming, however, that they have other plans, it makes much more sense.

Can you elaborate? I normally have better paranoia skills, but I'm feeling really dense today. I think I'm coming down with a cold...

The allegations in post 1 need sourcing, citations, and verification.
If the Union is once severed, the line of separation will grow wider and wider, and the controversies which are now debated and settled in the halls of legislation will then be tried in fields of battle and determined by the sword.

I, too have read about this. Some time ago, I think on Huffington Post. It was in an article there, not just "some guy" posting about it.

The dollar amounts paid jive with what the OP posted.

And then you'd be giving them your DNA on a platter!

Good point. Things this big should not be taken on word alone. At least some article links.

Upon a quick googling it SEEMS these things are mostly happening in border states. Not that that makes it OK, but it gives a window into the motivations.
