    Good news.

Now he can be re-united in the hereafter with his 2 worthless murdering scumbag sons.

And the women come out to cut up what remains,
Just roll to your rifle and blow out your brains,

    Dam Sad Saddam

Jefferson said it best... "The tree of Liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants..." unfortunately too many of our patriots and not enough of their tyrants.

as he took his place on the gallows, Saddam's worst enemy switched from George W. Bush to Isaac Newton!!

They could have saved a whole lot of time, if they would have just thrown a grenade in the hole first, before pulling him out of it.

Kind of along the line of PatriotRick, this to me was a non-event. His goose was cooked the moment he was taken out of play.

More than time being saved, had he been offed earlier, the world would have been spared his rantings and diatribes.

I'm not so blood thirsty as to jump for joy at the death of anyone, regardless of how they lived their life.

But... sowing bitter seeds yields a bitter crop.

Yes, but now we have three years' worth of video and still pictures depicting his personal anguish over the inevitable.

Sadly my first thought was I wish we could deal with OUR criminals in a manner that timely, instead of supporting them through years of semi-worthless legal appeal.

Iraq has an 'appeal' protocal that should be used within our judicial system

Yes, the likes of Scott Pederson, Charlie Manson are names that come to mind right at the moment.

Rocky, I agree with you that it is not right to celebrate the death of any man. But he was not a man, he was an animal. I read a report this morning from one of his victims brother. Saddam had captured this mans brother and his family, they wanted info from the man and the man was not speaking. Saddam ordered that the mans 6 month old child be brought before the man where it was burned to death and they made the man watch this, the man then spoke and they killed him. People like this have no place on this earth. I agree that the US can learn a thing or to about executing punishment in a timely manner. WQe don't need more prisons we need to carry out the sentences that have already been handed down. Just my .02.
