Its amazing how stupid drivers can be.......

My partner and I responded to backup another deputy at a bad spot. Lights, siren, plus even plain old horn and folks still just drive in their own little world

That's a fact! I think its because they feel isolated when tucked into their cars. But when you think about it you come to realize it's not just while driving!

That would frustrate the heck out of me. I suppose that's one reason they're starting on cars controlled by computers along the road. For some people, the less they have to think, the happier they are.

Chaplin, if you think it's bad in Montana, you should be in FL. It's unbelievable how many will not yield to emergency vehicles. I only hope that those people one day are stuck in the back of an ambulance with only minutes to live and have to sit at a traffic light were people will not clear a lane.

I've often thought about this. Too many fellow citizens apparently don't have enough brain cells to operate a motor vehicle safely...yet they have a right to own a firearm.

It must be my guilty conscience, but I can spot a cop a mile away. I'm more than aware when they're behind me.

Seems to be a lot of people driving who shouldn't have a license. Complete disregard of traffic laws and common sense. How do we fix it?

In New Orleans, people, generally , try to get out of the way. We are constrained here by the Lake and River for space so sometimes, it is a struggle.
This said, I once had an officer behind me, thought he needed to get by and pulled over. Nope, he was after me. Got nothing , young trooper looking for drunks.

In Arkansas it's mostly little old lady's white knuckling it down the hiway at 35 mph, evidently radio and AC blasting, totally oblivious to what is happening around them, then when they do wake up, they'll slam on the brakes, right in middle of your lane. Has happened to me several times

I grew up watching Speed Racer with all his gadgets, and wished I could have them all

Now, I just want to design one. A button that extends a pair of fork truck like forks out to pick up the car in front and toss it out of the way.
Knowing the physical and mechanical problems with this idea, I probably won't be able to build it, but, I can always dream.
