    SIGARMS Academy Receives VA Approval

Mods - was gona post under tactical training, but since its for AD/frmr military... move if needed.

    Just received this by email:

    SIGARMS® Academy Receives VA Approval

SIGARMS® Academy has received Veterans Administration (VA) approval for three courses (Armorer Certification - SIG SAUER® Pistol, Concealed Carry Pistol and Semiautomatic Pistol Instructor) under the provisions of Section 3676 of Title 38, U.S. Code, for the education and training of eligible military personnel, veterans and their dependents. You may be eligible to receive benefits from the VA to pay for these courses. To determine eligibility please contact your Veterans Administration Regional Office.

The CC course sounds interesting, and if you have unused VA funds (some expire 10years after discharge), that means you get to go to these courses tuition free (minus lodging/transportation/ammo).

Link to CC course ($495 course cost apparently covered by VA):

And just a thought, if its approved by VA, could it be good to go for active duty TA funds? You guys on active duty should check it out.

I might think about doing the armorer course as well. Sounds very interesting, and perhaps could open the doors to some more training and a cool job.
