I trust Marcus Luttrell and value his opinions. I do not trust Obama, Kerry, Rice, and their sycophants, nor do I value their opinions.

Marcus is an incredible human being. Everything he has gone through in his life both overseas and here in the US is amazing. Marcus has more experience in leading in one strand of hair then the whole Obama family. I would have no trouble replacing Obama with Marcus. The problem is Marcus has a lot of humility and would not want the job.

Yep, saw him of FOX news tonight. I value his opinion a whole lot more than anyone in the White House! He has a lot more leadership skill and experience than a "community organizer"!

Geez! If I had time, I'd watch it, but to me he deserted while in the armed forces. Last I knew that was punishable by firing squad. Why is this SOB still alive? My take is rather simple and to the point. Why did the president of the USA feel the need to bargain for a worthless POS's life? I understand less each and every day apparently. Fed up with the BS and FB and whatever else kinda media they use to boost an EGO or destroy a life, or tell a sob story about how junior was mistreated and twisted in ways. No excuses and no bargains. Bergdahl is a POS and deserves punishment no matter what kind of BS is pulled out of the hat at a moment's notice. Coward, deserter, worthless, waste of oxygen, living, breathing turd. How in the world do we get to the point of debating something like this and creating a public poll or nuisance after the fact? America is sick and twisted, and especially if we seek commentary for verification. I mean......WTH? Sick I tell you. Sick to the bone and begging for more sickness. This kinda crap should never enter any intelligent person's mind. It's a means to an end. Complete garbage. Don't become weakened by this sort of crap the media thrives on.

Well outside of Bergdahl, Marcus is probably the "ONLY" living American Soldier who has been captured by the Taliban and lived to tell the tale.

Marcus Luttrell wasn't captured by the Taliban. The Taliban was trying to kill him, but Marcus was discovered by friendly Afghans and carried down the mountain to their village. Invoking an ancient Pashtun code requiring them to protect and defend a guest to the death, the tribesmen guarded him from the Taliban fighters

The friendly Afghans alerted the Americans of his presence, and American forces finally rescued Marcus six days after his gun battle with the Taliban.

I listened to Marcus on Glenn Beck's radio program the other day. Here's what he said:

Former Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell took time to answer questions about Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl while he was on Glenn Beck’s radio program. The lone survivor of Operation Redwing said that some of his friends weren’t happy that servicemen died trying to find the “joker” Bergdahl.

“From what I understand from his teammates and everybody who was around him, he kind of just decided to walk off and go sightseeing in Afghanistan,” said Mr. Luttrell, glennbeck.com reported. “A couple of guys got killed actually trying to get that joker out of there, and [my friends were] not happy. I mean they’re pretty upset with the whole fact that this went down the way it did.”

The former SEAL, who was hunted by the Taliban for five days, did not want to comment on some the actions of Sgt. Bergdahl’s parents due to the psychological toll he said his own capture took on his family, but he did find the details surrounding the capture and release of the Army sergeant peculiar.

“The part that kind of caught me off guard, too, was the fact that they held him. They normally don’t do that,” Mr. Luttrell said. “I mean the whole deal behind me was they wanted to cut my head off, and they were doing everything they could to try to get to me to kill me. … There weren’t any sweet good-byes when I got out of there. It was an all-out gunfight.”

Sorry, Rob...but I read his book and he wasn't captured by the Taliban. The Taliban was definitely trying to kill him, but it was a tribe of Afghans that found him and hid him.

Three of the four team members were killed, and Luttrell, being the only survivor, was left unconscious with a number of fractures, a broken back, numerous shrapnel wounds, and later a gunshot. He would soon regain consciousness and evade the pursuing enemy, with the help of local Pashtun villagers, who would eventually send an emissary to the nearest U.S. base to secure his safe rescue, and ultimately save his life.
Marcus Luttrell - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

You might want to check out his own words on his own website, where he describes how he managed to evade capture by the Taliban:

Luttrell was the only survivor. Badly wounded, he managed to walk and crawl seven miles to evade capture. He was given shelter by an Afghan tribe, who alerted the Americans of his presence, and American forces finally rescued him six days after the gun battle.
Following his physical recovery from Operation Redwing, Marcus went back and completed one more tour before being medically retired. He then wrote the book, Lone Survivor, to share the amazing story of his brothers who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

I remember the book being a little different at the end then in the movie.

The book is always better than the movie
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”
And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
