I agree with LtBlue425. A show of respect few others would have done. Thank you Chic-Fil-A.

Great thing they did. While I don't agree with all their viewpoints I do like that they help out when they can and that they stand behind their beliefs even if others do not agree with them.

Good deal, and a classy act. Thanks.
They are a class act. And they just got themselves a new loyal customer, too!

Class act. You don't have to agree with someone's personal beliefs to agree with being a good citizen, and CFA is always a good citizen.
I do believe that Dan Cathy is a true Christian - and if I ever worked in a fast food place, I'd go to Chick-fil-A (or, as my nieces used to call it, Chick-A-La-Fay) first. Their employees are always pleasant, always polite, and seem happy to work there. They seem to be treated as team members and not chattel. I also believe every one of the employees is truly valued.
Plus how can you argue with real chicken and those danged waffle fries...
Some profess to have beliefs and principles while others show us they do have them. Good for them.
I find supremely ironic that God in his wisdom and grace has given man freedom of choice bounded by 10 simple rules. Man in his finite wisdom has created millions of rules to limit freedom of choice and the personal responsibility of his fellow man.
I think the act of closing helped to keep the procession safe and free from some Neanderthal busting into the convoy and messing it up for the family of the slain officer. They were providing a valued public service by staying closed. That's really rare these days.
I have not seen nor heard if they're in western Washington but if I see one I'd pop in to check them out. Do they serve Hushpuppies?
this is really cool. I dig it.
only been in a Chic-fil-a once in CA and the worker was extremely polite and helpful since we had never been.

In Gibson v. Commonwealth, 237 Ky. 33, 34 S.W.2d 936 (1936), the High Court stated: “[I]t is the tradition that a Kentuckian never runs. He does not have to.”
Good for them! Chick-fil-A has a great reputation around our town. The owner is extremely generous to fund raisers. Great company and their Peach Milkshakes are legendary.

I wish we had one around here. I would eat there at least twice a week just to support them. They really are a class act.
Could you just imagine a McDonald's or any other retail business doing this? Not on your bottom dollar.
