What!! no Marine Corps Silent Drill Team??????????

My brother-in-law was a member of the Ceremonial Guard back in the early 70s; still carries a couple scars from learning the routines.

    I Think...

that they must practice this stuff... (yes, I'm joking...)

    I was impressed!

Even as an Army guy, I have to admit the Corps Silent Drill Team is the most impressive one I've eve seen. (And that pains me! )

Who ever heard of a Marine being "silent"?

(sincerely)I will admit that those drill teams are impressive, as is every member of our military IMO.

(Light hearted humor intended) Of course the major difference between them and the USMC drill team is that the Marines actually know how to shoot their rifles.

(More light hearted humor of course) Then why was I never beat by a Marine during 1000 meter competitions at Quantico? Oh that's right, you said "shoot", you didn't say "aim."

I did some of this in CAP. It looks pretty amazing from the viewing standpoint. I loved doing it.

Another good team to check out would be the Texas A&M "Aggies" Army Drill Team. I believe they are forbidden from competing anymore because of hazing, but they used to win quite a bit. You can see them performing at the beginning of "A Few Good Men" - dressed as Marines. lol
