I'd like to try to fit some armbands around a few necks. If they attempt to desicrate the Memeorial, they should be met with violence, just like the man said.

Too bad we can't deport those scumbags.

I would like to be there, but it's not during my spring break. I will be wearing an armband. Though I did not go to Viet Nam I did serve during the period (1971-74) and am livid that anyone protester or not would try to use or damage the Wall. It's probably a good thing I can't go.

I suppose it is too much to ask, but it seems to me that when the Wall was proposed and built it was not supposed to be used for political statements. I know I’m an idealist; “Truth Justice and the American Way”

No good words for those protesters. I have no problem with protesters in general, everyone is entitled to express their opinion. But personal expression ends when damage is done. Anyone who can't express their opinions without damage or insults needs to clam up and leave the expressions to the adult minded.

+1000 I was willing to die face down in the mud so they could have the right to protest. To defile the memory of those who have given their life in an honorable endevour demands a response, however.

Anyone know where we can get the armbands?

Every chance I get to go to DC I visit the wall, there are 2 friends names carved there, I was with them when they died. To this day I ask God why them and not me. I want to be between the wall and the anti-war crowd. If they wants to spit, spit on me, but the wall is holy ground.

Perhaps a fitting moment to include this - IMO one of the most moving and powerful pictures ever created.

Phil - they were as willing to lay down their lives for you as you would have been for them - brothers do that. I'll wager if they see you now they are happy for you. Just giving them your deep rememberance is all they would ask - and that they have.

It does not express all that I feel, but comes close enough

My prayers and strength go out to them protecting our wall.

I say a group buy on FOX 5.3 for all standing gaurd...If the protesters intend to spray to deface, then our Fox 5.3 to the face will make them think twice.

P95CARRY, I have that exact framed picture on the wall of my family room. It's a daily reminder of the sacrifices that were made for all of us. It holds the name and memory of several dear brothers. The wall and it's heros must be protected - at any cost. BTW, the picture is still available on ebay - worth the price.

I wonder if I can get this printed on a T-Shirt....

I know... I know... tacky and probably against the law (the spitting)....but I needed to express my creative angst about the issue somehow.
