Peace officer shoots co-worker
I read this a few days ago on Sierra Times and something just does'nt seem right to me. Could be erroneous reporting, what do you think?
The story was that a deputy spotted an SUV that he recognized as his friend and co-worker. He honked his horn and flashed his lights in recognition. When the vehicle stopped he approached and, according to one witness, tapped on the window and even tried the door handle. However, the occupants were his "friends" wife and child. The "friend" was in another vehicle and upon seeing this, fired 8 shots and killed his co-worker of 13 years. The shooting was ruled justified and the shooter walked. I believe the incident took place in broad daylight, in which case it seems even stranger. I looked today for the article to read again or post but could not locate it.

Hmmm. I'd sure like a whole lot more info.
If total government control equals safety, why are prisons so dangerous?

I could think of several things that could be going on here. I agree it looks sorta "fishy"....

I heard that one on the news and no more info than posted. Yeah, sounds really "fishy"...can't tell me the officer didn't recognize his "friend's" vehicle, and certainly if he was able to get aim on him, he didn't recognize him? Haven't seen anything else on it in the news.
