Especially when you consider the danger he placed people in by doing what he did.

1...1 year, wow way to nail it to him. But ya know living with a felony that will teach him? So he will be out in 6 months with good behavior? I'm assuming?

He should have received a year per offense, plus another 20 for crimes against humanity. We don't need people like him in society.
I find supremely ironic that God in his wisdom and grace has given man freedom of choice bounded by 10 simple rules. Man in his finite wisdom has created millions of rules to limit freedom of choice and the personal responsibility of his fellow man.

Good. Place others in legitimate fear for their lives and creating such reckless mayhem upon others? You earn every inch of what the People can legally dump on you.

One thing in his favor: he actually plead 'guilty' to the charge. I suppose that's something.

It's federal. 1yr+1day = 1yr+1day. Still, a wrist slap IMO. I'm guessing there were no shootings or fatalities, by the grace of God, for him to get such a light sentence.

The sentence of one year 1 day makes it a mandatory 1 year sentence if I am not mistaken. Still not enough.

The article says he is an X box gamer. I take it that means he enjoys role playing. I wonder if he will enjoy playing his new role for Bubba?

Either way, he's almost surely going to get "swatted" around a bit.

He'd better bring a good pair of knee pads.

Well, that 3 years worrth of supervised probation will be interesting . All he has to do is screw up a little and the Feds will be happy to welcome him back. That Bomb threat used to buy someone 5 years .

I'm glad they're prosecuting swatting, but I agree with gatorbait - this guy made bomb threats, not just simple swatting.

Now if they will only start doing the same for MWAG calls where nothing but open carry is found to be going on,
I think 5 yrs in jail would fit nicely
And revoking of the callers Obama phone.

Reminds me of a prison joke that I can't repeat here.

One year doesn't sound like much but it is a year longer sentence then the army is currently doling out for desertion.
