"Rather than sympathize with those were actually oppressed in Paris by rampaging jihadists, Black Lives Matter aficionados took to Twitter with the hashtag, “#F-bomb Paris.” Such was the degree of upset that an attack on a NATO ally might temporarily distract the stream of liberal politicians pandering to the cop-hating Black Lives Matter movement."
Saw the article and only read the headline. I have seen enough of BLM to know that they are the most ignorant and selfish people imaginable. ALL they care about is free stuff and special treatment for themselves. They are too lazy to actually take advantage of any of the many opportunities our great nation affords us to advance our selves. The BLM movement has done massive harm to the cause of equal rights. Now, whenever I see them on the news, I automatically think of a bunch of spoiled cry babies instead of looking into and considering their grievances.
Their spotlight is out of focus.
After the cop shot the kid in Minneapolis, a protest group about 50 strong got the spotlight. Blocked traffic, camping out with bon fires, lots of press, blocked a major freeway after dark on a rainy night. Somehow, the woman the kid beat up (and kept first responders from) got lost. A man with a violent criminal record beats up a woman on the public street, attacks first responders, then fights with the police and is shot. And becomes a focal point for a small percentage of the population to protest police actions. What about the woman who got beat up? Why are women not out protesting violence against women?
He is portrayed as a loving son. Must have been turning his life around.
Black lies matter could have some legitimacy if they had victims like Emmet Till, Medgar Evers or other truly victimized people. BT no, they only have criminals like Trayvon Martin, Freddy Gray and Michael Brown to use as examples of racism. And they wonder why the majority don't care about their movement.
Hmmm...I have read multiple posts regarding this thread and I fail to see the connection to terrorism and the black life. There has been no offering of anything instructive, constructive, or edifying. There has only been guile offered as it pertains to those who may be part of a movement (misnomer) that highlights the fact that Black Lives Matter. I don't have to understand it, but what I do understand is that they are American Citizens. I for one, wore a uniform, have put my very life (I only have the one) on the line (as have so many that frequent this board have done), have shed blood for OUR country and her ideals. So, I'm a bit taken aback by the comment: I SPIT on the BLM movement!!! Particularly when you really don't understand the place from whence it comes nor the context out of which it is derived. There are a lot of things that I'm sure those of African-American decent do not understand about those that are Caucasian decent, or other decent, but that's not the point here. Here, we are talking about something a little bit deeper, the need to feel superior. Generally, when one feels the need to put others down, they display a need to feel superior. Flesh hangs on all of our bones, so, bottom-line none of us are superior to any one else. Try and understand, before being so forthcoming about your fellow American(s). And by the way, I wore the uniform for you and your interests as well.
Now, before you judge me (and judge wrongly). I'm not the touchy, touchy, feely, feely guy. Everything said doesn't bother me, but I can hear when there is an absence of knowing. When "knowing" is absent, then people tend to spout out about that which they have no intimate knowledge, and they hope it will garner support. Just as I respect you, my fellow American, so should we respect other Americans for stating their convictions. This is partly why we wore or wear the uniform. I realize that in every group that makes honest attempts to express themselves, in a way that will make a difference, there will always be some who will take it farther than it needs to go. Lets not be led to do that, it will destroy your credibility.
Now, if this board is exclusive...to one particular race or ethnicity...then I need to know that...then I can chime in somewhere else. Just shoot me a little email...I won't make it public...and I will peacefully bow out. But I thought I read the rules pretty good before I signed on. Perhaps I need to read them again...maybe I missed something. And just so you'll know...ALL LIVES MATTER. Because I'm a SheepDog. But for a certainty...My Life Matters. That's the view from my vista.
BLM , is a far cry from anything in the civil rights movement from years past . The credibility is not even present in this movement it is based and started in the Michael Brown case where lots of businesses were distroyed and a cop lost his career .
They have a warped sense of reality that is absurd IMHO . This i can say without being labled a racist because facts support my beliefs .
Edit * Even some members of the King Family speak out against the BLM and i hold them in high regard and think they understand the issues just fine .
