Hello all...
I had my change of command a few months ago, and PCSd to a new assignment. Just as I got my feet on the ground, I was tapped for a deployment...I'm now enroute to Afghanistan for a short tour working to take the fight to those who wish to do us harm. If you haven't been tracking, ISIS is now gaining a foothold in Afghanistan. I came across this video that is worth 35 minutes of your time from the PBS show Frontline, called "The School of ISIS", found here: FRONTLINE - Documentary films and thought-provoking journalism | PBS
All I ask is good thoughts and prayers for my fellow Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines who will be in the fight with me.
You have my undying respect, sir. May you be safe in your deployment and may you be successful in your mission. I hope to see you back here at DC, safe and sound.
Thank you for what you do to keep us safe, and for your willingness to leave it all on the field if necessary in that effort. Do be safe, take all necessary precautions, stay frosty, do your duty and get on back home. I will definitely keep you lifted in my prayers. God speed.
