When I was a Keydet we called them the Lexington Gestapo for a reason. They were always after cadets.
I remember one night one of my brother rats being chased by Lex police across the parade deck. The cadet made it to barracks just as the guard was able to lock the gate as the cadet ran under Jackson arch. The police yelled at the young cadet armed with a magazinless firingpin less M14. The cadet said I'm sorry sir only cadets, faculty and alumni in barracks!
At least the few VMI Keydets that I have met were far from normal, but in today's society is normal really a good thing?
