A step in the right direction for sure, but still leaves non-DoD civilians and non-retired veterans flapping in the breeze. If the weapons are supposed to be left in the car, just open it to all ccw permit holders.
Unless you're thinking of something I'm missing, non-DOD civilians and non-retired veterans do not routinely have access on to a military installation, particularly not an Air Force installation.
Wow, this is good to hear, I hate that when i have to go out on base for something and have to leave my weapon home only to turn around and go back home to pick it up and to finish my day.
It's a very good first step, even if it has to stay in the car considering you're unarmed for the trip to and from the base. It's a massive win to include DoD civilians as well.
Conceled Carry authorized for all LEOSA on all AF Installations and property has been approved. This only authorized LEOSA Concealed Carry outside of facilities. Installation Commanders still have to approve CC in side governement facilities and whther or not to honor state CHPs..
