LEOs Ammo Question

POLYSHOK I.R.P. Impact Reactive Projectile
It's available to Law Enforcement Only ~ Check Out The Vids ~ They look highly impressive.
Especially through angled auto glass.
I'd just be curious to get an opinion from somebody that actually tested it.

That's pretty impressive. Too bad we commoners aren't allowed to limit collateral damage and overpenetration, too.

God Bless Them All ...as the Bad Guys get Badder and "ever more" heartless, bolder & reckless...they need anything they can get to help them level the playing field.

No question. But I'd be glad to have some of those over slugs for my house gun, anyday. My normal load is #1 Buck, but I do keep some slugs on the side, and I worry about overpenetration. If the video can be trusted, this looks like an excellent alternative for CQB.

I see poor penetration in gelatin and a round that claims it won't penetrate interior walls but will magically go thorugh laminated automotive glass. Just youir standard overhyped pre-frag. I don't forsee any departments using this ammo.

Please notice that I intentionally put this thread into the Law Enforcement area & my questions are primarily directed to active LEOs. Though any responsible comments are welcome from anybody.
You know it really is not such a great idea to just dismiss everything "out of hand" and "off the cuff" as being new and thus being automatically no good.
I am just wondering how much of that site you actually looked at before you passed judgement with your comments.
Did you bother to read the Picatinny Arsenal Report PDF File?
The ammo did exactly what it was designed to do in ballistic gelatin & it is not a standard~pre~frag ammo.
And if you bothered to view all of the available videos...there are about 15 of them then you could see its actual test performance in those materials for yourself.
You know just because 10 researchers try to come up with a cure for AIDS and are unsuccessful that does automatically mean that the 11th developed cure is bogus also...just because the previous 10 didn't cure AIDS.
Beware the closed mind...it tends to get very dark & mildewed in there unless you allow a bit of sunlight and fresh air in there every once in a while.
You also said: "I don't forsee any departments using this ammo."
Did you happen to miss this?
