If you have no capacity for violence then you are a healthy productive citizen, a sheep. If you have a capacity for violence and no empathy for your fellow citizens, then you have defined an aggressive sociopath, a wolf. But what if you have a capacity for violence, and a deep love for your fellow citizens? What do you have then? A sheepdog, a warrior, someone who is walking the hero's path. Someone who can walk into the heart of darkness, into the universal human phobia, and walk out unscathed.
When I first looked at the pics I was looking at them in condition white, rather looking at them with a great deal of pride of all that have served and those are serving to keep this nation safe. I wasn't looking at them tactically otherwise I would have come to the same conclusion, but it was good to see what kind of relationship our guys have with the Iraqis rather than the drivel we get daily.
Regardless of what the Media and Murtha say, The civilians on the ground in Iraq know what are troops are like and know who to look to for protection.
Great photos!
