I think he was trying to stop and question a guy on a bicycle when he was shot in the face. This incident is saying to me that BG's are attempting head shots on leo since most are wearing vests now? Leo's, ya'll be sure and be careful, thanks for your service.
Wounded police officer released from the hospital
Shreveport Officer John Madjerick is happy to be going home after spending five days at LSU Hospital being treated for a gunshot wound to his face. The first-year member of the force says he's thankful for the community's support over the past week.
"I really realize that they're a much stronger family than I've ever really realized and that we care about each other," said Madjerick as he fought back tears.
His mother, Terry, flew in from Philadelphia, New York to be at his side as he was wheeled out of the hospital Sunday afternoon. She says she was inundated with phone calls of support from his hometown upon receiving news Tuesday.
"It's obvious that he's touched a lot of people," said Terry Madjerick.
Shreveport Police Chief Henry Whitehorn says Madjerick may have a blown jaw, but his heart is untouched.
"Through all that he's gone through, he still loves the people of Shreveport," said Whitehorn.
Madjerick is expecting to return to work in three to four months.
His suspected shooter, Lucien Trammell, was caught Wednesday night by Houston Police.
Turn the election's in 2014 to a "2A Revolution". It will serve as a 1994 refresher not to "infringe" on our Second Amendment. We know who they are now.........SEND 'EM HOME. Our success in this will be proportional to how hard we work to make it happen.

may his future bring peace and may he not get shot at anymore.

Every well-bred petty crook knows: the small concealable weapons always go to the far left of the place setting.

And may Lucien Trammell not have a chance to shoot at anyone anymore.
