Here it's just cheese that gets cut.

Boy "the cake" brings back memories.

Back in the '80, I was TDY (civilian job, light cover) to an installation in SF area. No one I was working with knew my background, or that I had been in the Corps.

One day early November, I get a call telling me to report to the security office. I excuse myself and go. Dang near, everyone in Security was Green, they knew who I was and invited me to join them for the local Birthday celebration. Somehow that cake cutting was the one that still sticks in my memory above all the others.

2nd Battalion, Fox Company "Platoon Two-thousand one zero two, Senior Drill Instructor SSGT Ingram. Highly motivated, truly dedicated, hard core devil dog, err."

GySgt Ingram read my promotion warrant to Sergeant a few years later. He recognized me a little, but I sure the hell knew who he was. Quite an honor for me.

Hardly. No one has beat my 2005 yet.
The preceding post may contain sarcasm; it's just better that way. However, it is still intended with construction and with the Love of my L-rd Y'shua.

    Ok Agave,
PLT 3081 Mighty Mike Co. graduated OCT 2007 from MCRD PI (thankfully HI doesn't have sand fleas), I'm the "youngest" Teufelhund on here as far as I know.

Guess I don't quite make the Old Corps cut.

    Hey there...

You did hear that we are not allowed to call Marines "boots" anymore right? The proper term is "Junior Enlisted Warrior" which is one of the few words we are not allowed to acronym...
