Now I see why the District Of Columbia thinks handguns are so dangerous. Their officers can't even handle them safely. Maybe this officer needs a trigger lock.

This proves one for the 'Brady Bunch'...only the police should carry guns because they are TRAINED on how to use them...
Her gun 'accidently' fired? I don't think so...negligence comes to mind though...

You won the cupie doll, it was definitely not an AD, it was clearly an ND if she fired while holstering.
As someone who's had my gun out and had to go to the ground with someone, I always knew where my trigger finger was cuz I carry a Glock. BTW, I'm not LEO, I just do some Bail Enforcement stuff every once in a while.

With other police officers in the immediate vicinity of her ND - it could have been lots worse.

That is SO stupid. He kills someone and they are whining about a 3 week suspension? And this is the "trained" person that supposedly knew better? What was his finger doing on the trigger to begin with? I hope they get hit with an 8 figure judgment.

After spending sometime getting to know our local officers, as part of one of my jobs, I can attest to this statement. There are some great officers here that I feel very relieved when I know they are working. Then there are some who I wish never left the station. The good thing in my case is that the good ones out number the bad ones.
I kinda feel sorry for the good ones who have to work with the bad ones.
