Some people are better off making the reports, and others are better off out doing police work.

Keep your booger hook off the bang switch,
Yes, indeed, someone needs a refresher course in weapons handlng!
D.C. hasn't changed firearms recently have they?
Now I see why the District Of Columbia thinks handguns are so dangerous. Their officers can't even handle them safely. Maybe this officer needs a trigger lock.![]()

This proves one for the 'Brady Bunch'...only the police should carry guns because they are TRAINED on how to use them...
Her gun 'accidently' fired? I don't think so...negligence comes to mind though...
Stay armed...stay safe!

"Give this to, uh, Clemenza. I want reliable people, people who aren't going to be carried away. After all we're not murderers in spite of what this undertaker thinks."

You won the cupie doll, it was definitely not an AD, it was clearly an ND if she fired while holstering.
As someone who's had my gun out and had to go to the ground with someone, I always knew where my trigger finger was cuz I carry a Glock. BTW, I'm not LEO, I just do some Bail Enforcement stuff every once in a while.
Have a great gun carryin' Kenpo day

Lucky it was not worse.
With other police officers in the immediate vicinity of her ND - it could have been lots worse.

On the night of Jan. 24, the report says, Bullock was getting out of his vehicle when he was bumped on his left side by the vehicle's door, causing his right hand to "involuntarily make a fist and depress the trigger" of his .45-caliber handgun.
...Bullock, 40, fired one shot into Culosi's side, killing him almost instantly.

After spending sometime getting to know our local officers, as part of one of my jobs, I can attest to this statement. There are some great officers here that I feel very relieved when I know they are working. Then there are some who I wish never left the station. The good thing in my case is that the good ones out number the bad ones.
I kinda feel sorry for the good ones who have to work with the bad ones.
