U.S. Navy 1992-1994 U.S.S. Ogden LPD 5. Long Beach/San Diego Ca. Boatswains Mate.

Only got out for two reasons. Ex-wife, and Bill Clinton.

As for the ex, should have listened to an old salt I served with when he said, "If Uncle Sam didn't pack it in your seabag, you don't need it." Had it not been for her, I most likely would have stuck it out through the rest of the dark years and still be in. But then I wouldn't have the wife and two kids I have now, so, I guess everything works out in the end.

BTW, I loved my time in, and kick myself in the arse everyday for getting out.

I mean he helped bring TOW II online (online having a different meaning in the 1980s). I got out and he kept in touch for awhile, but we lost track. He was my best bud and helped me thru some really horrific traumas associated with being a Second Lieutenant. lol Anybody have any ideas? I do not have his ssn. His name is Marty Russo. Maybe somebody knows him? I think he was West Point class of 1980.
If you go to www.military.com they have a link to a "Buddy Finder" posting a message there may help in your quest. Good Luck

~~Total U.S. Army Service 30 Years, 6 Months, 23 Days during 1966 to 1997. Retired as Chief Warrant Officer CWO-4. Served as Combat Pilot, Instructor Pilot, Helicopter test Pilot, Aircraft Maintenance Officer, Civil Engineering Technician.
~~After all that I never thought any of my kids would join up. My youngest girl, now 20, two years ago surprised me by joining the Army Band. She's real good on the piano keyboard; awesome with the M16.
