U.S. Coast Guard, 1978-1998 (1978-1985 enlisted; 1985-1998 officer). Specilized in Port Security and Maritime counter-terrorism; helped developw PSD tactics and strategy during Desert Shield/Desert Storm. Retired as O-4 from CG HQ. Wish I was back!

Nothing to brag about here. Joined the Air Force upon HS graduation in 1968. I always liked airplanes. Basic Training was Amarillo AFB, TX. Shipped to Sheppard AFB, TX for 1-2 jet engine tech school. I screwed that up. I was a teenager with no direction. During the Vietnam war if you showed no interest in schooling, Uncle Sam transferred your butt elsewhere. No guidance provided. I was sent to SAC in ground support for B52 and KC135's. One station was an isolated 15 month tour to Labrador, Canada. I think it was an air base for unruly airman. My last assignment was WPAFB, Dayton, OH. Discharged in 1972. :wave: I was still proud to serve America, just not happy with Uncle Sam's treatment.
