US Navy BM and OS cross rater 01-06 new to the site
ACU-1 was one the most interesting commands in the Navy
USS Comstock is one beat up ship
Aux Security duty is both a blessing and a curse
I was isuued cami utilitys and jungle boots at my first command and that was kind of a shock
Along with 782 gear and a M-16A2 (or at leat its butt number and sieral number for when we needed them).
Learned mad respect for the seabees and beachmaster and Marines.
Nab Cornado, near San diego is probably the greatist place for a young man to stationed ever.
LCU-1600's and LCM-8's take a huge amount of work to keep operational, some of the LCU's we had served in nam,
one them was famous for running ammo and reinenforcements to the Marines at Hue.
