US Marine Corps, Enlisted in May of 2006. My MOS was an 0351. I served in an Weapons Company with 1st BN 4th MAR out of Camp Pendleton. My first deployment was to Al Qaim Iraq in April of 2007 to Nov 2007. I was a 203 gunner as well as a radio opperator. After 7 months through the Iraqi summer I returned to Camp Pendleton where I then picked up NCO and was an assistant section leader and APL durring the work up. Second deployment was to Falaujah in Nov 2008 to April 2009. Through out the two deployments I lost 6 friends whom I will never forget the sacrafice they made for their country. I just got out May of this year and still adjusting to things here in the Civi life. There is not a day that goes by that I dont think about the men I had the privilage to work with. I miss it so much, still deciding if I made the right move to get out. Got out a Sgt, and would not trade the past 4 years for anything.

Active US Air Force from 1975 to 1981, then Reservist from 1981 to 2005. Spent my entire career in Services positions, starting out as a cook, and was assigned to multiple positions that called for a Services troop in a non-services role, such as a Logistics office in a Red Horse squadron. My last three positions were HQ roles, including HQ CENTAF and HQ ACC, working in the battle staff offices beginning right after 9-11.
Loved it all.
