I would rather live my life as if there is a God,
And die to find out there isn't, than live my life
As if there isn't, and die to find out there is.
    God Bless

Enlisted in the Navy in Jan 1969 when military was not considered a nice employment place according to the hippies and Viet Nam war...

"Mustanger" to retire in 1993 as an O4 Lieutenant Commander... Striking Quartermaster on Destroyer Escorts and transitioned to pilot and Naval Flight Officer after graduating US Naval Academy...

Hunted latest/greatest soviet submarines and claim to fame... never lost one.

Been around the world several times, was involved with failed Iranian Hostage take over and "Libyan line of death" by Omar Kadafi which our flight led to the subsequent movie "Top Gun"

Got lots of "been there, done that" stories...

Got one cool son currently serving in Bahrain and is a range master for the navy and sets up range courses for all services. Trains our armed forces on weapons and shoots pretty darn good...

For everyone here that has served... whether its 1 year or 35... Thank you!

Almost 20 years active duty in the US Army 1974-1993. I took the early retirement package offered just after Clinton took office. "Don't ask-Don't Tell" was the last straw for me. Spent the whole time as an MP other than a tour with Recruiting Command. Did overseas tours in Germany, Panama, & the Marshall Islands and stateside @ Ft Riley, Ft Hood, Ft Meade and retired out of Ft Carson.
