    On THIS date in HISTORY.....

    LOL I couldn't figure out today why the 27th of April was important. Birthday? No, mine is on the 11th of May. Somebody elses birthday? Nope. DANG IT! Then it hit me....on the 27th of April 1981 I reported into my first duty station as a (VERY) wet behind the ears Infantry 2nd Lieutenant. Wow, where has the time gone?

    Now let me know if you all agree.

    The only people who should have Veterans Day off are veterans. Banks, post offices, and of all things, schools should all be open. Veterans should be allowed the day off to sit around a bar and swap stories.
