Any tech can be stolen! You know someone can hack this system.
If your a BG what more do you need, you will know where every cop in the city is!! You don't fear the !!!

Or you wait till they have incorporated this fancy new tech-no gadgetry and become dependent on it and then some hacker breaks in and just as an "event" happens, he crashes the system, or even better, he changes where the cops appear to be, so then" Joe, this is central, the action is 2 blocks EAST of your location" all of a sudden Joe is headed in the wrong direction instead of "Joe, situation at 5th and Main st." and Joe knows exactly where to go.

I'm sure they will safe guard against this. They have such smart people in charge now.

Curious as to how they are going to run this technology. AFAIK only RFID can be placed under the skin (the article said every police officer will be microchipped, not their uniform) and they must be in close range of a reader to be useful. So maybe it is some gizmo in their belt with greater range. Will be funny when the Bobbies are running around nude because some gang stripped them of their spy antenna.

sounds a bit like FBCB2 to me. all a BG needs is a decent "pinch" not even have to hack the system. one good EMP would knock that system down in a jiffy. good thing the best EMP devices are under lock and key with more armed gaurds than the last five presidents combined. unless the device is properly sheilded. but as any electrician knows all things british leak especialy electronics

That's what I was thinking too, but I fail to understand the why for the Brit's plan. In the US, calling for backup is a little different than in England, because backup here can provide force the Brits can't. If safety is the primary drive for this system, what good is backup that is as powerless as the cop that needs it?

    Am I missing something?

If you throw enough bodies on an attacker ,either living or dead you can smother him,
