Talking I am in a lockdown of sorts.

About 30 minutes ago I heard a chopper outside my house so I checked it out. It was a news chopper circling the area but I did not give it much thought with three major highways running close by my house. I had lunch and was on the first 5 minutes of my nap when I hear some serious banging on my door. My mother got scared and called for me, I grabbed my gun and checked one of the front windows to see who was it. To my surprise I saw 2 Miami Dade Police Officers standing outside so I put away my gun and went to the door.

The officers, very politely, informed me that they were looking for a suspect and requested if they could gain access to the back of a house nearby. I said yes, asked them to come in and took them to my back porch. When we got there they realized that my backyard did not give them access to the house they were looking for and apologized profusely. I asked them what was going on and they said they were looking for a suspect. They asked me if I had seen a black male looking suspicious or running and I said no. When I asked for a more detailed description, one of the officers said: "Black male, average height, red shirt, looking scared and sweating."
    Priceless!

And yes, the gun cabinet is open and the AK is at the ready plus the FNP-9 is by the mouse as I write this.

PS: I live about 100 yards from an elementary school and a High School and both are on lockdown. Heavy police presence obviously so I am staying put.

    So the headlines will read:

Heavily armed citizen with evil black guns shoots innocent, scared homeless man seeking shelter in garage. Wacko gun forum scanned for evidence.

EMP, you would not be far off since I fall under the Miami Herald coverage. But the lockdown is over and I must go to work darn it! I can't use it anymore as an excuse to play hooky today

Just another day in paradise ?
The situation will NEVER BE THE WAY YOU WANT, it WILL BE THE WAY IT IS. You must be FLEXIBLE ENOUGH TO ADAPT and just "DEAL WITH IT".
