Several carloads of people watching a small child be beaten to death? They too should have been shot on the spot. They are subhuman also.

Maybe that's a bit harsh. Folks do have a right to be sheeple. I just hope that in their hour of need they are helped just as much as they were willing to help.

From the article, it appears at least some of the witnesses tried to stop him, but were not able to get it done.

Not long ago read about an uncle that pulled a knife and beheaded toddler in a market in Middle East because he was having an argument with the mom.

Can not comprehend the brutality that exists in humanity.

I fear most in our society have been so conditioned to "wait for help" that they don't know what to do anymore. Those who tried to stop him must not have coordinated their efforts; if they had, I find it hard to believe that he would have withstood a gang tackle. I suppose they were so stunned by what they saw that they were unable to think clearly and act decisively. That too is perhaps a sad commentary upon society.

If only one of the citizens had had a firearm, or other implement....

This is a very sad story, my grandson is 2 and I just can't imagine someone doing that to someone so helpless. The murderer got what he deserved.

I wish someone would of had something to stop this monster.

My prayer's go out the child and family.

Turlock man kills child in roadside beating

This is why people should be armed. Not only for self defense but for the defence of others. This one makes me want to puke. Wish I'd been there.

Needless to say, this story already has a lot of comments. I didn't read them all, but some are mentioning that someone with a firearm could have stopped this madman earlier.

I don't even know what to say about this monster! I just wish he'd lived so he can meet someone in the block that has a toddler sibling, and let them stomp him to the lower floors.

BUT, there is always the possibility that he was neglected as a child and didn't know what he was doing and can't be held responsible for his actions, blah, blah, blah, and he may only get time in the padded room.

The only problem I see is a California Prosecutor who wants to make a name for themself. Imagine one that says something to the effect, since the baby was dead before the officer arrived on scene the officer chose not to act as a protector of life but as a Judge, Jury, and finally as an Executioner. All crap of course but considering the types of clowns going in to the Prosecutors Office now a days it would not surprise me. Hope the DA has some horse sense there. To the cops involved I can only say "Thanks for trying and there are many here that support you.". I hope those officers do recieve some psycological help. It is bad enough to kill someone in the line of duty but to witness what they saw prior to pulling the trigger. My heart goes out to them.

I still find it hard to believe that people can stand by and watch while something like this happens. If there was even two people on scene, they could have kept the piece of crap busy enough that maybe the child would have lived.

He would have had his hands full with me if I had been there. Thats all I have to say.

That was my second thought.... my first was, too bad someone wasn't a conceal carry and could have saved the child. I would have been using a tire iron on his head if I had to ... to get him stopped.

TN v Garner. The manner in which deadly force is delivered is of no consequence if the force is justified. You can shoot him, stab him, break his neck or drop a grand piano on him. As long as you are justified in using deadly force, that's all that matters.

If I had no gun, I wouldn't stand by "telling" him to stop. It would be "hands on" time.
