Obviously in this instance the monitors certainly did monitor the monitor and he was arrested and is in a goodly amount of trouble.

We can never prevent individial human beings from going bad.

That has been happening ever since before recorded history.
All that can ever be done when and if they are caught is to mete out the proper punishment.

It's good that he was caught and he will now face the court.

There is a big difference between being offered/accepting a bribe and soliciting one. This gives all LEO a bad rep and I may be naive but I really don't think all of them go around acting like this. Too many men have their brains in the wrong head of their body.

Any government official, including police officers and firefighters, is held to a higher standard of moral conduct in the community, and for good reason. Not only are they trusted public servants but also role models as well. Just like any other profession, there are going to be a few people who should never be in the position that they have been given.

Like the surgeon who is a quack and faces multiple malpractice suits, doesn't mean the rest of the medical profession are quacks. There are a lot of good police officers out there putting their lives on the line for you and me. Granted they can't be everywhere at once, and that is why we carry a gun, but without them it would only be a matter of time before our society and possibly civilization as we know it would break down.

You wouldn't try to disarm a bomb or run inside a burning building that is ready to collapse for a million dollars. Cops and firefighters do it everyday for a whole lot less. Think about that before you pass judgement on all the rest of the public servants in your town.
    God bless our troops!

If there is any justice, he will be locked up with a big Bubba who thinks he is cute as a bug!

Bad eggs in every hen house. Doesn't surprise me at all, nor does it effect my view of most LEO's.
