BAD: MD State Police go Ninja on Ammo Purchases

This is a discussion on BAD: MD State Police go Ninja on Ammo Purchases within the Law Enforcement, Military & Homeland Security Discussion forums, part of the Related Topics category; I guess as a responsible gun owner, you should add an ACLU membership to your NRA membership. I wonder if they have bundle discounts ;-)...

I used to have that opinion as well, but after the Heller decision, the national ACLU has decided to sell out the Second Amendment.

Because he lives in MD. A whole state with the scruples of a backwoods Louisana Parish. What you don't render, they will seize...

12:30 p.m. is not a midnight raid. I'm not sure if the 'night' part was thrown in to make it seem more sensational or if the guy doesn't know the difference between a.m. and p.m.

Either way, it makes me a little less receptive to his story.

Sounds awfull fishy. Why would a full tactical assualt team converge on this one house AND NOT HAVE A WARRANT IN HAND. Without the warrant they don't have any right to enter this mans property. Without the warrant if the homeowner does not give his consent to have the property searched any evidence they may find gets thrown out. It's a wasted trip without the papers. Doesn't sound right.

Because they weren't looking for anything in particular. They were harassing for the purposes of harassing. As a former MD'er(Baltimore), I don't doubt it one bit. I got out of that hole and wont ever go back. I don't even go back to visit family. They have to come out here if they want to see me.

I agree this story is slightly fishy .. and again, why on earth did he or his wife let them in the house to begin with?? My wife knows the rules - no warrant, no entry, no exceptions.

This story is almost not believable. But in a NE state anything is possible. Folks, be careful which lawmakers you vote for because one wrong turn and we will become like China or Russia. Unbelievable .

Its simple, he was sleeping. My wife finds all sorts of things to do while I'm sleeping, like running the vacuum, cleaning the bedroom, changing the sheets, putting clothes away, making sure the TV/stereo is as loud as it was yesterday, sending my 4 year old in to "check on Daddy" etc.

Anyway, I still stand on my "This is BS" position until somebody comes up with a credible source.
