Passenger indicted in trooper’s slaying

The Cass County grand jury has indicted the passenger in the car from which shots that killed Texas DPS Trooper Scott Burns were fired in April.
The grand jury found enough probable cause exists to formally charge Jennifer Petrick with felony hindering apprehension, said Cass County District Attorney Clint Allen. He said his office received Petrick’s case file from Texas Ranger Jay Womack last week and presented it to the grand jury early Friday morning. Womack conducted the investigation into Burns’ death.
If convicted, Petrick faces two to 20 years in a Texas prison. She is expected to be arraigned on the charges in early September.
Petrick was riding as a passenger in a car being driven by Brandon Wayne Robertson, a 37-year-old Tyler man, shortly before the shooting occurred in Marion County, Texas. Robertson was being pursued by Burns at the time of the shooting.
Two days after the shooting, Petrick was arrested in Linden, Texas. She surrendered to authorties shortly after Robertson took his own life at a remote barn. Robertson was hiding out in the abandoned barn when it was surrouded by numerous members of law enforcement.
At the time of her arrest, Petrick was in violation of the conditions of two probation orders she had been assessed in Marion County for drug possession. She hadn’t reported to her probation officer for at least five months before her arrest in Linden, said Marion County District Attorney Bill Gleason.
Gleason said Petrick was sentenced to serve 18 months in a state jail for each of the possession cases. The judge in Petrick’s Marion County cases ordered Petrick to serve the sentences consecutively, Gleason said.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

Was she present at the time the Trooper was killed? If so... Felony murder for her... I certainly have no more use for the likes of her! Fry her!
