Ride Along Question
i'm going on a ride along tomorrow, and i was wondering if i needed to wear something special. i planned on wearing jeans and a plain t-shirt(not white). i'm in florida, and it's about 70 degrees out, so i didn't want to be uncomfortable... i don't know. any suggestions?

Call and ask the duty sergeant what he recommends.

No matter what you are instructed to wear, just have a good time and enjoy the experience!

Dockers and a button down long sleeve shirt, with rubber soled shoes, not sneakers, seem to be the "uniform" around here for ride-alongs.
The reason for the rubber soled shoes, traction. The kind I'm thinking of have a rubber sole, but a leather upper and look like dress shoes.
The best advice was already given, "Call the Duty Sgt."

I don't think it matters as long as it is not something old and worn out. As others have said, darker colors, and shoes with some traction to them. It would probably not be a bad idea to call a duty sergeant and ask. I expect that they would rather have you do that than having to send you home to change into something more appropriate....

I wore a polo shirt and jeans when I went on a ride along a few years back. They like you to look decent since you will be with the police.

I just wore a button up short sleeve shirt and jeans, with some boots. Something that looked presentable basically.
Callin would probably be a good idea, let us know how it goes.
