    Honoring Veterans, what a concept

Day 3 of my new job and I just found out we have a guy being called up from his Reserve unit to go to Iraq.

What does my company do? They start planning a company get together to send him off right and to also honor any Vets who work here.

I think I made a very good decision to move to this company!

Good deal, Paco. I hope the company keeps his job open for him.

Plus one for your new employer, there is still some good people left in America. Sounds like you found some!

Now, that's the type of things that I love to hear about. Just outstanding.

Don't they have to by law, or at least have a comparable job for them when they return? I know my last company had 2 called up and they back filled them with contractors.

It's great when a company honors their people when they are called to do military service. The best part is when they pay the difference in salary to help out the families left behind.

Just because it's the law doesn't necessarily mean the company will obey it. That's why I said I hope they save his job.

That's cool Paco, my current boss is ex Air Force, and most our employees are ex Military or reserves too. Whenever we get called out for training or duty all we get is a "have fun". LoL.

Very nice! Where do you work, and are they hiring?

Someone should tell Napolitano that some people still honor our military/veterans.
