Has Napolitano's apology helped or hurt us?

I wonder if those pushing for an apology or for her to step down realize the full implications? Does a false apology help us or them in the long run.

Do you really think their views have changed? At least their views were out in the open where we could see them and know what they were doing. Now they have learned not to make their true ideas public.

All we have done is cut the rattles off the rattle snake. Its bite will still be deadly but now we will no longer hear it coming.

Just signed a petition demanding she resign or be fired. She doesn't even know the law when she says its not a crime to illegally cross the border. The first time its a misdemeanor and the second time its a felony. If we can't get rid of you please read the book or ask somebody that knows.

My point is that we have only let them know to keep their ideas secret. They will not change their policy. They will just keep it secret. I believe this hurts us.

To me its similar to flag burning. If it is illegal and the law prevents you from doing it I might think your a good neighbor. Now if there is no law against it and you burn the flag then I will know what a low life you really are.

Forcing someone to keep their views secret can only hurt me if the policy remains the same. I do not believe that this will make them rethink their policy. It will only become a secret policy.

In my very limited experience, most of her employees can't stand her. I'm one of them.
The preceding post may contain sarcasm; it's just better that way. However, it is still intended with construction and with the Love of my L-rd Y'shua.

It won't be too much longer before she sticks her foot in her mouth again.
    And...besides - it's not over yet.

I am under no illusion that anything changes if Napolitano goes away. I think Pres. Obama still thinks that veterans are dangerous to his ambitions. I don't believe anything he says about his respect for the 2nd Amendment. I think he will spend us even further into a worldwide crisis.

So, IMO, Napolitano's presence makes no difference. Whoever follows her will be just as bad. Perhaps a little smarter and more able to camouflage his/her intentions, but no real difference. Get rid of her, it's fine by me. But, we won't get a dime's worth of difference with whoever replaces her.

The problem comes from the top, the guy who hired her. If she goes he'll just hire someone else of the same mindset.

This is exactly what I mean. Are we better off now? Sure alot of folks feel better but we have not gained anything. If anything it will be worse because it will be done in secret now.

    P.S.
US = those with the power if we will only use it.

THEM = Government ,those that want the power and will never stop fighting to get more of it from us.

I do not think that they will remain silent; they are not capable of discretion. They have never been, and will never be on the side of the average American who enjoys shooting guns (hobby, sport, or self-defense), and believes in traditional family values.

Instead of hurting us, maybe it will inspire some people to vote differently next time? It is scary that a veteran can be labeled a threat just for disagreeing with her on moral, ethical, or political issues.

I don't see her leaving under the circumstances. Unless she does something so overwhelming that the majority of the MSM finds upsetting she'll be there as long as Obama is in office. But that's only IMHO!

Whether she keeps her job or is replaced by the Commissar, nothing will change. She is just one minor side effect of the poison that our country has ingested.

They are now asking for her resignation over this "memo"..... so, I think that shows that American's, etc. are not going to let this stuff ride .... and it doesn't go over very well at all, and you may lose your job as a result.

    I think that's a good message.
