Shooting with my local PD tomorrow
Just a reminder to all the retired LEO's out there....stay current with H.R.218 by qualifying each year with your local department. Make copies of your certification paperwork(put original someplace safe)and keep one on you(or easily accesible)at all times. The Nat'l FOP is looking to have the law amended to make this certification easier, but until then..just a little "heads up". Be Safe

And never feel like you are a burdon to the active guys. We like having the retired guys come out with us.

Thanks Sixto for letting everyone know... when we shoot for qualification we have the reserves, part-timers, retired, and a few special friends come out. The more the merrier. Most all the time it is set up over two days, in one hour blocks with a hour in between to give the RO's a little rest between relays. Any non-scheduled person or one who had to miss their time gets to shoot at the end of one of the relays.
Sometimes we will grill out at the range the second day and have all day picnic. Old war stories are great about this time.

Way to go, Old Grunt. Try not to show them up too badly.
